Hans Madsen ,
Hans Madsen, age 86, of
Grapeview, died on Thursday,
May 18, at Harrison Memorial
Hospital.
Mr. Madsen was born Febru-
ary 1, 1909 in Denmark and came
to the United States in 1929. He
lived in Eastern Washington.
Mr, Madsen served with the
US. Navy in World War II and
moved to Kitsap County in 1954.
He worked as a steam engineer at
Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and
retired in 1972.
He married his wife, Helen, in
Gig Harbor in 1979. The couple
had resided in the Grapeview
area for the past 15 years Mr.
Madsen built his own home and
enjoyed making homemade wine.
Survivors include his wife, Hel-
en; adopted daughter, Charlotte
Avante if Kelseyville, California;
stepdaughters, Sue David of
Tacoma, Jane Cardinal of Des
Moines and Melanie Pierce of
fi3hLLfiiv3r, Oregoni; stepson
Christopher Cardinal of Tacoma;
brother Svend Madsen of Dan-
mark; and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held?
at 2 pm. on Friday, May 26, at
Saint Hugh Episcopal Church in u
Allyn. Cremation was at Forest3
Lawn Cemetery with arrange- é
