Accession/Object ID: 2006.33.115, Object Name: Print, Photographic, Description: (#115) Captioned Red Bridge. This would be a 126' Howe truss bridge approached by a trestle and built by the E&MC in 1893. It was replaced by a long trestle in 1914. However, I think this really is the first Robe Bridge #18, which was built in 1893 and redone after the 1897 flood. That is described by Woodhouse and Jacobson p. 199 as having two Howe truss throughspans placed end to end. The width of the river and low banks also favor Robe over Red Bridge.- per David Cameron, 2005, Granite Falls Historical Society,Photos,Museum Collection,General Photos,General Photos 12,Print, Photographic (2006.33.115),Print, Photographic (2006.33.115) 1, Print, Photographic (2006.33.115) 1
