The tieritage @oeiety of Pacific Grove P.O. Box 1007 • Pacific Grove • California • 93950 • • www.pacificgroveheritage.org Elliul mle,€ August 20, 2012 Angie McDonald 467 Cuesta Drive, Los Altos, California 94024 Dear Angie: This is in response to the November 5, 2011 Plague Replacement Request for your recently acquired home located at 388 Central Ave., in Pacific Grove. The subject request was researched by the Pacific Grove Heritage Society's Research Team and a recommendation was subsequently submitted to the Heritage Society's Board of Directors. Your request was approved. Tax and assessor records indicate that the original owner of record was Libbie M. Huyck and that the original construction date was 1910. A footprint ofthe house appears on the 1914 and 1926 Sanborn Maps. Of note is that the basic footprint ofthe house did not change appreciably between the 1914 and 1926 Sanborn Maps. It was determined, through researching records at City Hall, that there were no substantive changes to the exterior ofthe house since the prior plague approval in December of 1995, and that the historical integrity ofthe home has been maintained. You will be contacted by the Heritage Society when the plague is completed. You can pick the plague up at the Heritage Society Barn located at 605 Laurel Ave., in Pacific Grove. Completion ofthe plague can take three to six months depending on the backlog of requests. As you know, there is a $35 donation fee required for replacement plaques. However it is my understanding that the $35 was part ofthe closing costs when you purchased the houme. Please bring this letter when you pick up the plague or ask the attendant at the Barn to check our file for 388 Central. This letter will be in the file. Thank you for your interest in the Pacific Grove Heritage Society.
