BACKGROUND On April 10, 2018, Merritt Palminteri, architect, on behalf of Blake Matheson of Matheson Family Trust, property owner, applied for Architectural Permit and Sign Permit #18-307 for a property located at 472 Lighthouse Avenue in Pacific Grove. The property contains an existing two-story commercial building that is located on the City’s Historic Resources Inventory. The project seeks to replace nine (9) damaged windows with in-kind wood windows, to replace the existing gate with new wooden glazed doors, to replace the exterior lighting, to replace the aluminum gutter and scupper with pre-patinated copper, and to paint the exterior façade and trim. The project also seeks to allow two new signs with blackened metal letters attached by pins.
