toMr.andMis.Franklin, VeraFranklinsold thehotel to thecun ent
owners,GaryJanesand Dr:JceMegna,in1961. With the desire to
preservethecharacterand flavor of PacificGrove,acomplete renova-
tionof thestructurewasbegun torestore irsexterior to thatof the
1890'sand tobringit up tocode. Bathroomswerealsoadded to each
of theguest rooms. It iscurc aitiyoperated asa bed and breakfast
inn Ted Larsonand Associates,localarchitects,managed therestora-
tionproject,including researchand design, usinglocalcraftsmen.
