The first owner of this structure, according to the County's assessor's records was: Elizabeth Nix Other Comments: According to the 1926 City Directory, Mrs. Nix lived there with her husband Samuel. She owned a business at 221 Forest where she sold corsets. The directory also lists Betty Nix (a nurse), Mary Nix (a bookkeeper), Norman Nix and Willis Nix also living there. Perhaps they were the children of Sam & Elizabeth. It appears there were six Nix living there! Elizabeth purchased the empty lot from the Pacific Improvement Co. in 1918/19, but didn't have the house built until 1922/23.
