Dear Batbara :
I am happy to report that Larly Scholink and myself are coming close to an understanding that would
facilitate the preservation of the log house on Chestnut. I applaud his willingness to work with the
Heritage Society. In the upcoming weeks I am hoping that Mr. Scholink and myself can come up with a
packagethat I can take to the Heritage Society Board ofDirectors forpossible endorsement. This is new
territory for our organization and we hope it will be a model for future cooperative efforts.
Of course there are many "loose ends" that have as yet to be defined and resolved, but I trust that with
patience and flexibility we will continue making progress.
