BLUNT HOME 117 10th Street (Built by Charles Brown 1888) This cottage was built in 1888 by Charles Brown, who built another home on the tour: the Bukey Home which he built for M.E. Lawrey in 1887. If you look across the street you can see another example of his building skill: 110 10th Street, owned by the Gustafsons and featured on last year s tour. The Blunt's home is a simple Eastlake seaside cottage, its style being manifest in the bay window and gable bracing. Notice the brackets in the bay and on the porch and the subtle treatment of the wooden trim on the bay window. e. €ammxx222 ix Pacific Grove Design Criteria and Guid,J-ines '@Gillillm, commended this dwelling .14 011,614 L as a fine example of a »@4*844,4 home in which, architectural remodeled character has been kept intact; =mxmhimxmamwmamxI112]tkmitxma "The glazed-in gables provide light to the second story without altering the original roof lines.
