This building is situated in one of the early sections of the Pacific
Grove Retreat among the few remaining buildings of its same period.
It served as a cultural uenter and boy-scout meeting hall, drawing large
crowds both locally and from long distances, particularly duing the
meetings of the Chautauqua Miterary and Scientific Society.
