October 28, 1999 Dear Neighbor, At the monthly Economic Advisory Committee meeting; fast '-1'u~:sday, a discussion regarding Puhlic Restrooms in Pacific Grove was agendized. 1 was quite surprised that the City is considering doing a major bathroom facility at Crespi Pond. It is still in the discussion stages; so I thought you might want to give your input as to whether they are needc;d at all, since there are two bathrooms there already. 1 have copied the info regarding Crespi Pond only, but what amazed me is that the bathrooms for Washingnon Park, Caledonia Park, Lover's Point Park, and Downtown by Fandangos were only going to cost in the low $40,000 range; and be a lot less in number oftoilets -and that is where more is better because of tourists. I asked Sandy Koffman w•hy was this being considered at all at Crespi Pond, she commented that John Miller, Rec Dept. said lots of golfers, walkers, bikers, visitors, use these facilities at Crespi and the need is there. I do not believe I have ever seen a "line" waiting there, and maybe some of you may concur. To handle ]65 people an hour is abs~►lu+~ely ridiculous. My comments back to Sandy were that 1 believe the City does not own that land, Coast Guard does, and that there are bathrooms at the Clubhouse one block away for golfers. if you want to contact John Miller, his phone number is b48-3130. t~i~su~ rry , OCR Text: October 28, 1999 Dear Neighbor, At the monthly Economic Advisory Committee meeting; fast '-1'u~:sday, a discussion regarding Puhlic Restrooms in Pacific Grove was agendized. 1 was quite surprised that the City is considering doing a major bathroom facility at Crespi Pond.
