:l‘erenee Orme .77. 3 fi‘h’ Terence B. Orme Dr. Terence B. Orme died July 30 at his home in Shelton. He was 82. A memorial service will be held at Saint David‘s Episcopal Church at 1 p.m., Friday, August 4, with the Reverend Donald Maddux officiating. Mr. Orme was born February 22, 1913 in Prince Rupert, Cana- da, to Cyril H. and Rosa (Smith) Orme. He graduated from North Pa- cific Dental School in Portland, Oregon, in 1939. Around 1935, while living in Canada, Mr. Orme sailed in the first Swifisure race, a rugged sail- ing competition. He married Eddythe Baugher in 1948. He served as an officer in the Canadian Navy and also was a major in the United States Army stationed in Stuttgart, Germany, between 1952 and 1955. After dental school he practiced in Port Townsend for a few years before looming to Shelton, where he started his practice. He retired in 1994. He lived in Shelton for 47 years. He married his wife, Inez, in 1977. He was a member of the Washington Dental Society, Saint David’s Episcopal Church, the Shelton Yacht Club and the Olympia Elks Lodge. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Orme, in 1984. Survivors include his wife, Inez of Shelton; six sons, Robert C. Orme of Hillsboro, Oregon, Ron- ald F. Orme of Portland, Oregon, Dr. Terence J. Orme of Chatta- nooga, Tennessee, Brandt H. Orme of Shelton, Cyril “Tad” Orme of Shelton, and Ryan T. Orme of Puyallup; 17 grandchil» dren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary McMartin of Sidney, British Columbia; a brother, Eric Orme of Sidney, British Colum- bia; three stepdaughters, Susan Gauthier of Seattle, Kathy Mac— Gillivray of Bow and JoJo Gagner of Anacortes; seven step-grand- children; six step»great-grandchil- dren; his mother—in-law, Inez Shaw of Seattle; and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada.
