Granite Falls district to dedicate
elementary school, football field
Granite Falls School District will
hold dedication ceremonies Satur-
day for its new elementary school
and football field
Mountain Way Elementary will
be dedicated at9:30 a.m. Katie Crane,
Dana Schutte. Nathan Sanders, Dale
Coulsen and Joey Lundberg. all third-
grade students, will be presented
plaques to recognize them for the
naming of the school. Local Boy
Scouts will present the colors.
The building will be open for tours
from noon to 2 pm ‘ '
The Hiram Jewell football‘field
will be dedicated at 3:30 pm. Jewell
was one of the first coaches in
Granite Falls‘Former coaches will
be in attendance, and the homecom-
ing game will follow the ceremony.
The special celebration is being
held in conjunction with Railroad
Reunion Days so alumni will have the
op nity to view the new facilities.
Granite Falls School District
Superintendent Gale Hogan will lead
all festivities, make introductions and
provide brief overviews of the»
construction projects.
