Chester S. Valley, 87, a resident of
Shelton ior most of his life, died
Thursday. Jan. 30, 1986, in St. Peter
Hospital, Olympiat
Mr. Valley was born Sept. 26, 1898,
In New Brunswick, Canada. He was
married to Mary Lozier In May 0t 1918
in Shelton and worked tor Simpson
Timber Co. 43 years.
Mrt Valley was a member and past
master of the Skokomlsh Grange and
also served as the Grange's Insur-
ance agent for over 35 years. He was
a member and past board clerk of
Skokomlsh Valley School Board; a
supporter of Skokomish Valley Com-
munity Church; a member of the Shei-
ton First Baptist Church where he
sewed as trustee and usher; a mem
ber of the Skokomlsh Fire District;
and a member oi Mt. Moriah Lodge
No. 11, F&AM.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of
1 the family home, include two sons,
Chester, Seattle and George, Shel-
. ton; two brothers, Ed Aherne, Yakima
and Dwight Valley, New Jersey; tour
sisters, Edna Hersey and Dorothy
Sperry, both of Main, Aimeda Elliott,
Springfield, Mo., and Naida Parks of
Massachusetts; ilve grandchidren, 10
great-grandchildren and one great-
great-grandson,
The funeral service for Mr. Valley
will begin at 1 pm. Saturday, Feb. 1,
In the First Baipist Church, with the
Reverands Jerry Hamilton and How»
ard Spear and Mr, Talmage Wilson oi-
iiclating. Burial will follow In Shelton
Memorial Park. Arrangements are un-
der the direction of McComb and Bat-
stone Funeral Home.
