longtime shoring and construc-
tion worker, died of cardiac ar-
rest on Monday,
November 13.
He was 62.
He was born
on July 24,
1944 in Sali‘
nas, Kansas,
to Michael L.
and Evelyn V.
(Watson) Dami-
coi He attended
schools in Shel-
ton and gradu- Mickey
ated from Mary Damico
M. Knight High
School in Matlock.
He worked in shoring and con-
struction all his working life He
lived in Seattle for 30 years and
in Olympia for the past eight
months.
Mri Damico belonged to Olym-
pia Senior Services.
He was preceded in death by
his parents and adoptive father
Lee Westlund.
Surviving are former spouses
Carol Wehber of Seattle and Jay
Westlund of Union; sons Michael
Westlund and Steven Westlund,
both of Tacoma; and daughters
Tiffany Westlund and Michelle
Westlund, both of Vancouver.
Also surviving are brother
Jerry Westlund and wife Jan of
Olympia; sisters Karen West-
lund Bjork of Olympia and Cin-
di Rogers of Shelton; and three
grandchildren.
An informal gathering for
lunch and reminiscing has been
scheduled for 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
at the Olympia Senior Center,
Room B, 222 Columbia Street
NW, Olympia.
