Mr. Valley passed away at Shelton General Hospital last} Monday evening. ‘ Joseph Valley was born at Dov-i el‘ Hill, New Brunswick, Canada.‘ on September 9, 1858, second in a family of 13 childr n. four of whom are still living; Mrs. Eliza shear. Mrs. Matlida Dodge Mrs. Frances Mehoney. and Harvey H Valley, all of Gardiner, Malne. He was married to Abhie E. Frost, October 4, 1535 in Fort Fairneld Maine. To this union were born four children, Joseph Lee of Matloek Jerry Stephen and Mrs. Florence Lawton of Shelton The youngest son Eari Winfield, passed away in 1914 at the age of 15. Many Descendants There are also eleven grand- children and six great grandehil. drcn Mr Valley came to Washington state in 1888.149 lived in olym- pic for a short time later coming to Shelton and finally settling on a farm near Matloclt in 1594 which he operated until ill health forced him to retire in 1933.
