In the envelope, 2000 article on house moving on the Monterey Peninsula was enclosed, and it referenced "a log house in Pacific Grove" at 505 Chestnut Street. Ironically, that house, which was moved from one part of a large lot to another was probably on the same property as our house at one time; at most, the log cabin and our house were separated by Spruce Avenue. Might there have been a small farm at that end of town (there is that old barn-or was a few weeks ago-just across the street from 864 Spruce)? Do you have records of that? I assume that the County Assessor has records of our home in its former location. We 1 of 2 9/9/10 2:46 PM , OCR Text: Re: 375 Gibson .
