6. Briefly describe the present physical appearance of the site or structure and describe any major alterations from its original
condition:
This is a two story house, tall in porportion, with hipped roof and gables.
It is an a, ymmetrical in plan including a small house, connected now to
the main house (this may have been a storage shed or servants quarters at
one time). The windows in the small house are the same, but horizontal
siding has notches between boards instead of boards being flush with each-
other as on the main house. Eaves project well over sides of the house,
supported by sawn brackets with small pendants, #ishscale shingles in gable
ends, one of which has a decorative pediment line. There is a square bay on
the first slory with shed roof abd brackets. There is also a square bay
under the corner gable which is 2 stories (with windows). To become a second
residence, a stairway was added outside to the 2nd story. Windows are a
variety of sizes and shapes, some with colored glass and most with decorative
trim.
