George L. Valley
George was born on August 29,
1923 in Olympia, Washington to
Chester and Mary (Lozier) Valley.
George grew up in Shelton and
graduated from Irene 5. Reed High
School before entering the Navy in
W42. He'was married to Mariorie
A. Helenius on AUQUSt 24, 1946 in
Olympia, Washington George and
his partner, Merritt Eells estab-
lished Eells & Valley Appliance
Center in Shelton that later became
George Valley Furniture and Apr
Pliance. He retired in 1983. George
was a member of the First Baptist
Church, was a Charter member of
the Shelton Rotary Club, he was
one of the “Gang“ that met at
Nita’s Colfee Snap for over 50
years, member of the Skakomish
Grange, American Legion, and the
Chamber of Commerce. George
was an avid tisnerman, golfer. and
hunter, For the past 28 years,
George traveled to Kodiak. Alaska
to hunt and spent the winters in
California. For all his interests,
George’s main love was for the
Lord and spending time with his
family.
He passed away at his home on
Friday, December 24, 2004 at the
age of Bi years. His survivors in-
clude: wife, Mariorie A. Valley,
Shelton; 2 daughters, Susan Valley
Rogers, FOX lsland, Washington,
Jan Kr Valley, Seattle Washington;
4 granddaughters, Monica
Criteser, Portland, Oregon, Angee
la O’Neill, Portland, Oregon, Katy
Dixon, Chamoaign, Illinois, Karen
Dixon, Portland, Oregon; great
grandchildren, Keaton, Grant, Iso-
bel. Beniamin, and Heidi. Port-
land. Oregon; one brother, Chester
H. Valley, Seattle. Washington‘

will be held at McCamb Funeral
Home on Thursday, December 30,
2004 between the hours of 8:00am
and 12:00 noon. Graveside servic-
es will be held at the Shelton Me»
marial Park on Thursday. Decem-

with a Memorial Service to be held
at the First Baptist Church on Fri
day, December 31, 2004 beginning
at 2:00 am. Memorials may be
