Lake Cushman crash
kills Hoodsport man
A 24-yearrold Hoodsport man
who worked at a ’Ihmwater hotel
was killed early Saturday when
the car he was in fell down a 150-
foot embankment near Lake
Cushman.
Peter M. Cassin was pro-
nounced dead at the scene, the
Washington State Patrol re-
ported.
Cassin was a passenger in a
1938 Corvette driven by 21-year
old Tyrone Jay Goos. also of
Hoodsport. Goos was flown to
Harborview Medical Center in
Seattle for treatment of internal
injuries and a broken leg. He
was in serious condition Saturr
day afternoon.
The accident occurred shortly
after 1 am.
The men were southbound on
state Route 119, which connects
US. Highway 101 and Lake
Cushman. The car crossed the
road and went over the north,
bound shoulder, the State Patrol
said. The car hit several trees
and went do a 150-foot emr
