Eileen Eagle
Eileen Eagle, a long-
time Shelton resident,
passed away at home
Wednesday morning,
August 3, 2016, at the
age of 96. .
Eileen was born Sep-
tember 17, 1919 in Win-
nipeg, Manitoba, Can-
ada. She was raised on
the prairies of Saskatch-
ewan, her family moved
out to Vancouver, Brit-
ish Columbia when she
was 18. She worked in a
large department store.
She attended LIFE Bible
. College, graduating in
1946. She met Wentz
Eagle one summer at
Foursquare Church
camp in Oregon. They
were married 6 months
later on March 24, 1951
and have celebrated 65
Wedding Anniversaries.
She was a member
of Shelton Foursquare
Church, Where she had
been a longtime Sunday
school teacher. She host-
ed ladies’ craft meetings
and faithfully attended
midweek prayer.
Eileen worked for
Shelton School District
as lunch room duty for
27 years, retiring in
1989.
Eileen is Survived
by her husband Wentz
of Shelton, children
Frankie (Carl) Story,
Dixie Kennedy, Patti
(Bob) Woods, and Jack
(JoAnn) Eagle. 13 grand-
children, 21 (great-grand-
children. Her sisters
Jean Curry and Lois Gil- .»
lies of Canada, numer-
ous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by her son, Alvin
Eagle, her parents, Alvin
and Ethel Curry, her" sis-
ter, Vera Schofield and
several nieces, nephews ‘
and great-grandchildren.
A “Celebration of
Life” service will be held
at 11am Friday, August
12 at Hope Chapel, 421
W, “E” Street, Shelton
WA 98584,.right across
from the cemetery.
The family suggests
that memorial gifts, in
Eileen’s honor, be made
~ to the Shelton Four-
square Church building
fund, or a favorite char-
1ty.
