Personnel 1. There were a number of changes in the timber office during 1979. Ellis McCoy, who has been here as a co-op student since the summer of 1977, completed his studies at the University of Washington in January of 1979, and joined the district on a permanent basis. He is working in presale and has assumed many of the duties that Steve Calish had before he transferred to the Deschutes National Forest. In August, Presale Forestry Technician Jeff Starnes transferred to the St. Helens Ranger District on the Gifford Pinchot National Jeff His new work is as a forester in logging systems.
