Graffe Eagle died of natural caus<
es Wednesday, May 3, at Harri~
son Memorial Hospital in Brem-
erton. She was 76 and a resident
of Bremerton.
She was born February 17,
1924 in Buffalo, Montana, to Jo-
seph and Vera (Kessel) Avery and
grew up in Shelton.
She married William Graffe on
May 15, 1940 in Sheltoni He pre‘
ceded her in death in 1986.
She married Gerald L. Eagle
on January 6, 1995 in Bremerton.
Mrs. Eagle was head cook and
nutritionist at Horton Nursing
Home in Bremerton and later at
Belmont Terrace. She retired in
1973, after 20 years.
She was a member of the
Christian Life Center in Port
Orchard and the Prime Timersi
Survivors include her husband,
Gerald Eagle of Bremerton;
daughter Alice Lyman of Bremer—
ton; stepdaughters Jenny Cordin-
er of Astoria, Oregon, Susan
Johnson of Torrance, California,
and Julie Crieghton of La Mirada,
California; and stepson John
Eagle La Marsh of Shelton.
Also surviving are sisters Betty
Crickmer of Bremerton, Jo-
sephine Trotter of Grandbury,
Texas, and Jeanette Cox of Baker
City, Oregon; brothers Lee Avery
of Elma, Lawrence Avery of Cos-
mopolis and Sam Avery of Yakiv
ma; and six stepgrandchildren.
A graveside service was held
Tuesday, May 9, at Forest Lawn
Cemetery in Bremerton, followed
by a memorial service at the
Christian Life Center,
Memorial donations may he
made to Christian Life Center,
1780 SE Lincoln Avenue, Port
Orchard, 98366.
Arrangements are by Miller-
Woodlawn Funeral Home in
Bremerton.
