Hi Batbara,
According to the Monterey County Tax Assessor's book from 1926, there was no structure on the lot at
that time.
It is possible that it was built later in 1926 or moved from another location after 1926, but I can find no
data to support this.
It is my opinion that it should not be on the list because the tax records indicate no structure as of the
1926 assessment period. This is consistent with how other structures were put on or left off the list. If the
house was moved to the lot from another location, we would need to find the original location and
research the house from there. Also, if the house is architecturally significant in its own right, you may
want to waive the 1926 requirement.
