She married Marvin Ack-
erman on March 5, 1979 in
Reno, Nevada,
She started out work-
ing and learning the auto
parts business with her dad,
Glen, and her uncle, Vernon
Stewart, at Les Fields Auto
Parts‘ She then partnered
with her brother»in-law,
John Howe, in starting and
growing the Belfair and
Shelton NAPA stores, She
loved working, and for the
last 15 years worked as the
parts manager at Mason
County Public Works.
She fis a longtime mem-
ber of the Yesteryear Car
Club. Her passions includ-
ed vintage cars’, traveling,
playing poker and family
gatherings
She is survived by hus—
band Marvin Ackerman;
children Lori Clevenger,
Louise Bennett, Kelli Lar-
son, John Ackerman, Da-
vid Ackerman and Jimmie
Ackerman; sisters Carol
Prouty and husband Lloyd,
Merrilee Howe and husband
John and Diane Robertson
and husband Dave; many
grandchildren; and many
nieces and nephews
She was preceded in
death by her parents Glenn
and Louaine Stewart and
nephew Wade Jagnow.
The family will be holding
a celebration of life at 333
West Pine Street, Shelton,
on Sunday, July 19, from 2
to 4 pm,
