The tieritage @oeigtg of paeifie Grove P.O. Box 1007 • Pacific Grove • California • 93950 • • www.pacificgroveheritage. org 2- + September 15, 2011 Mary Lindsay 218 14th Street Pacific Grove, California 93950 Dear Mary: This is in response to your July 23, 2011 request for a replacement plague for your home located at 218 14h Street. After researching our records at Ketcham's Barn and those at Pacific Grove's City Hall, a recommendation of approval was presented to the Heritage Society's full Board on September 6, 2011, and was approved by the Board Tax and assessor records indicated that the original owner ofthe home was a C.D. Smith, not C.B. Smith and that the house built in 1893. We visited the Seaside Library for further research and found no mention of a C.B. Smith .The aforementioned name (CD. Smith) and date of construction will appear on the plague. Our research found that Mrs. C.D. Smith, who built and then sold homes, at one time owned Ketcham' s Barn, The P. G. Heritage Society' s headquarters. Normal turn around time for completion of a plague is two to four months, depending on the volume ofrequests we have. When the plaques are completed you will be contacted by the Heritage Society for pick up. If you have any further questions please contact the P.G. Heritage Society at: . . Thank you again for your interest in the Pacific Grove Heritage Society. 9 + Resp#etfully, Jim Hogan, Heritage Society Research Team. The Heritage Society of Pacific Grove, a 501(c)(3) organization, was incorporated July 1976 as a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation. r:Irmlfffilim*,1n , OCR Text: The tieritage @oeigtg of paeifie Grove P.O.
