Charles E. Dale PUD 3 retiree and Shelton resi- dent Charles Eugene Dale, 62, died of cancer at Saint Peter Hospital in Olympia Friday, March 3. Born in Santa Monica, Califon nia, on May 23, 1926, Mr. Dale had for the past 60 years been a resi- dent of Shelton, where he was employed as a line foreman for PUD 3. He retired in January of 1979. Mr. Dale’s favorite hobbies in- cluded playing outfielder for the old-timers baseball team and play- ing golf. Surviving Mr. Dale are his wife, Hazel Jr Dale of Shelton; five daughters, Kathi M. Durkin and Karen L. MacKay, both of Olym- pia, Rabbi J. Beeler of Shelton, Melanie A. Sattler of Federal Way and Joyce L. Witherow of Shelton. Also surviving Mr. Dale are eight grandchildren and two brothers, Ted A. Dale of Golden, Colorado, and LeRoy V. Dale of Shelton. mineral services were held on Wednesday, March 8, at McComb and Batstone Funeral Home with Dr. Ludvig Eskildsen officiating.
