The lieritage @oeigtg of Paeifie Grove P.O. Box 1007 • Pacific Grove Califbmia • 93950 • • www.pacificgrovehetitage.org September 11,2014 Patrick Curci 506 Congress . Pacific Grove, CA 93950 Dear Patrick: This letter is in response to your Plague Request for your home located at 506 Congress in Pacific Grove. Your request was researched by the Heritage Society Research Team and submitted to the Pacific Grove Heritage Society's Board ofDirectors at our September 2,2014 meeting and approved. Tax and assessor records indicate that the property was first assessed in 1908 and that the original owner ofrecord was Bank ofE. Cooke Smith. The M.C. Roth family lived in the home for two years before acquiring it in 1910. There was a plague request submitted in November of 2001 and it was determined that the house was eligible for a plague. However, the request was made by a tenant and not the owner. Apparently the owners did not follow up on the request and as a result a plague was not prepared. It is apparent that you have maintained your home and have been diligent in retaining the homes original architecture. The Heritage Society Board agreed that the historical integrity of your home had not only been retained but enhanced over the years. You will be contacted by the P. G. Heritage Society when the plague is completed. It normally takes three to six months to complete a plague depending on the number of plaques being processed. You can pick the plague up at the P. G. Heritage Society Barn at 605 Laurel Avenue, in Pacific Grove. Thank you for your interest in the Heritage Society of Pacific Grove. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at (831) 372- 2898.
