Juanita Cabrielson
Longtime Union resident Jua-
nita “Nita" Gabrielson died Tues—
day, March 7, at Mason General
Hospital. She was 77.
She was born February 10,
1923 in Chehalis to Herbert E.
and Nina (Mack) Miller.
She moved to Montesano in
1924, to Hoquiam in 1928 and to
Shelton in 1930. She graduated
from Irene S. Reed High School in
in 1940 and attended the Univer-
sity of Washington for a year.
She married Arnie E. Gabriel-
son in 1951. They moved to Eure-
ka, California, where Mr. Gabriel—
son worked for Simpson Timber
Company. He left Simpson and
they moved to Union in 1958.
After moving to Union, she
worked as an accountant in her
brother Bill Miller’s Mercedes
auto agency in Shelton.
Mrs. Gabrielson was active in
the Rainbow Lodge and became
Grand Worthy Adviser for Wash-
ington, Idaho and Alaska from
1941 to 1942.
She was also active in the
United Methodist Church of Shel~
ton and was head of the rummage
sale for many years,
She loved Hood Canal, her
many friends and classmates, her
family said. She enjoyed playing
duplicate bridge and taking trips
to Mexico and California.
She was preceded in death by
her husband and by brothers Wil-
liam and Eugene Miller,
She is survived by brother Ver-
non W. Miller of Olympia, four
nieces and two nephews.
A funeral will be held at 10
am. Saturday, March 11, at the
United Methodist Church of Shel-
ton. Private burial will be at Shel-
ton Memorial Park,
