Robert Cameron Robert Ewen Cameron of Shel- ton died in town on December 17. He was 81. He was born in Butte, Montana, on July 11, 1911 toJohn S. and Lil- lian (Robinson) Cameron. He had many memorable stories about his adolescent years working on ranches and sawmills and as part owner of a none too profitable gold mine in Eastern Washington. He worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard during World War II. He was married in Olympia to Helen Anderson in June 1947. He worked in the plywood plant of the Simpson Timber Company from 1951 until his retirement in 1975. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his son, Dale Cameron, in 1990. Survi- vors include his wife, Helen Cam- eron of Shelton; his sons, John Harrell of Bainbridge Island and Ernie Harrell of Federal Way; his daughters, Marion Zanoni of Auburn and Jane Allen of Kirk» land; his brothers, Sam Cameron of Redding, California, and Jim Cameron of Shelton; his sister, Elizabeth Smith of Olympia; 13 grandchildren and 11 great~ grandchildren.
