RE: 221 18 Street
Dear Christina,
I am writing in response to your inquiry about the house located at 221 18th Street in Pacific
Grove.
The three houses at 219,219 !4 and 221 18 Street were all built in 1905/1906. The first owner
was William A. Oyer, who lived at 153 106 Street and used these houses as rentals. Mr. Oyer was
the foreman/manager ofthe Bay City Meat Market at 207 Forest Avenue in Pacific Grove.
According to the tax records, the houses were sold as a group, at least through 1926.
Enclosed is the tax assessor information card through 1926, as well as a copy of a page from the
1926 Sanborn insurance map. Also enclosed is apage from the 1926 City Directory where I
highlighted the names ofthe tenants at that time.
I hope this information helps you.
Sincerely,
Adam Weiland
