William W. Ing William W. Ing, a resident of Hoodsport for 41 years, died of acute respiratory failure Monday, July 13, at Mason General Hospi- tal. He was 80‘ He was born October 29, 1917, in Aberdeen to Bert and Dortha (Wirts) Ing. He served in the Navy between 1935 and 1947. He worked for Puget Sound Logging and Scaling in Tacoma, US, Champion Plywood in Taco- ma and Simpson Timber Compa- ny before retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Maso» nic Lodge in Union, Shriners and the Elks Lodge. Mr. Ing enjoyed traveling, building model boats and repair- ing antique clocks, He is survived by wife Kay Ing of Hoodsport; son Tom Ing of Brownsville, Oregon; daughter Beret Ing of Grandview; sister Jeanette Anderson of Neilton; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
