Dear Ann & David,
Our maps and tax records show that 222 Lobos was first assessed in 1926. This means
the structure was actually built early in that year, or late in the previous year. The first
owner ofthis structure, according to the County's assessor's records was F. L. Oliver.
The vacant lots had been in the Oliver family since at least 1920. In April of 1926, the tiny
shed shown on the attached 1926 map was built by F. L. Oliver. The building permit
valued it at only $25.00. In July of 1928, the shed was removed and a 16x16 wooden
building was erected by F. W. (not F. L.) Oliver. It had a dirt floor. It appears that this is
the structure currently behind your house. The solarium was added in 1984 by John Orr,
the owner at that time.
I can find no information on F. L. Oliver at this time. IfI come across something in the
future I will send it to you.
