The review process included consultation with the Heritage Society Of Pacific Grove and other members of the Demolition Review Committee on May 21, 1990. I have made the environmental determination that the proposed demolition may have a significant effect on the City's historic resources. Consequently, an Environmental Impact Report is required for this project per the California Environmental, Quality Act. Based on standards in Ordinance No. 1692 N.S. which provides for a moratorium on demolition of buildings constructed prior to 1925, your application for an exemption from the moratorium is denied and preparation of an Environmental Impact Report is not necessary. If you are dissatisfied with my decision, you may request the Council to review the matter as provided in Ordinance 1692 N.S.
