Eddythe Orme
Services will be held Friday for
Eddythe B. Onne of Shelton. She
died on Sunday, September 8, at
Puget Sound Healthcare Center
in Olympia. She was 79,
She was born in Parker on May
26, 1917 to Ora Ernest and Mary
Ellen (Hunter) Baugher, She
lived in Kelso from 1922 to 1932,
when her family moved to Wapa-
to. She graduated from Wapato
High School in 1934.
She attended the University of
California at Los Angeles and re—
ceived a teaching degree from El-
lensburg Normal School, Mrs.
Orme taught school in the Port
Townsend and Federal Way
school districts.
She was married to Dr.
Terence Orme in 1948. She
worked with him as a receptionist
and assistant in his dental prac-
tice at the Collier Clinic in Shel-
ton. From 1952 to 1955 she lived
in Stuttgart, Germany, while Dr.
Orme was stationed there by the
US Army.
Upon returning to Shelton she
was a homemaker and substitute
teacher in the Shelton schools.
With her son, Tad, she owned and
operated a Montgomery Ward
Catalog Store from 1977 to 1980.
She also had a real-estate license
and sold real estate for a number
of years.
She was a member of Saint Da-
vid’s Episcopal Church and the
Order of Saint Luke. She used to
attend services at the Vineyard
Church in Shelton, too.
Mrs. Orme was a member of
the local chapter of the American
Rhododendron Society and a
member of the Mason General
Hospital Auxiliary Guild and a
volunteer with the Saints’ Pantry
food bank, She enjoyed garden-
ing, reading, participating in her
prayer group and spending time
with her friends and grandchil-
dren.
She was preceded in death by
two brothers, Charles Bangher
and Harvey Baugher. Survivors
include her sons and daughters-
in‘law, Brandt and Julie Orme of
Shelton, Cyril “Tad” and Leslie
Orme of Shelton and Ryan and
Jane Orme of Puyallup; her sister
Harvesta Andrews of Yakima;
seven grandchildren and numer—
ous nieces and nephews.
The Reverend Donald Maddux
will ofliciate at funeral services
scheduled to begin at 11 am. on
September 13 at Saint David’s.
Burial will be in Shelton Memori-
al Park. Arrangements are by Mc-
Comb Funeral Home.
