Laura Van Epps Laura D. Van Epps died May 22 in Yakima. She was 89. She was born in Great Falls, Montana, on June 19, 1904 to John C. and Grace Darling (Arnold) West. She attended school in Iowa. She was married in Yakima on January 27, 1934 to Charles Van Epps. Mrs. Van Epps taught Sunday school and sang in her church choir. She played the piano when she was younger. Mr. and Mrs. Van Epps moved many times, following his employ ment in construction. They lived in Hoodsport for a while. She moved to Shelton afier his death in 1985. Survivors include her sisters-in- law, Pearl Morris and ClaudiaVan Epps, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. At her request there will be no services.
