Elmore Adams Jr.
Elmore Adams Jr., who worked
in Hollywood for a number of mo-
tion picture studios. died recently
at the Wadsworth Veterans Ad
ministration Hospital in Califor-
nia. He was 74.
He was born August 13, 1923,
in Hamilton, Ohio.
Mr. Adams served in the Navy
in the Pacific Theater during
World War II aboard the USS
Lexington and fought in the Bat-
tle of the Coral Sea.
He married Bethe] Irene Se-
matter on April 21, 1951. She pre-
ceded him in death in 1990. One
son, William Elmore Adams, and
a brother, Bob Adams, also pre-
ceded him in death.
Mr, Adams was retired from
the motion picture industry. He
worked for several Hollywood stu-
dios doing a variety of jobs.
He enjoyed going to the differ-
ent activities of his grandchil-
dren.
He is survived by five children:
Sue Wiley and her husband Rick
of Shelton, Colene Davis and her
husband Larry of Ogden, Utah,
Ken Adams and his wife Lori of
Palmdale, California, Tom Adams
and his wife Cindy of Simi Valley,
California, and Clyde Adams and
his wife Kim of West Lancaster,
California.
Also surviving are brothers
Melvin Adams and Clifford
Adams, both of California, and 19
grandchildren and seven great-
grandchildren.
Graveside services will he at 1
pm. Saturday, November 22, at
Shelton Memorial Park. Bishop
Dan Speigle of The Church of Je-
sus Christ of Latterday Saints
will ofiiciate.
