in Portland and other parts of Ore-
gen and attended Washington
State College in pullman, She
worked atWestern Union in Port.

They moved to Shelton in 1935.
Mrs. Palmer enjoyed her role ae a
career homemaker and put her

She also had many hobbies and
interests. She was a church organs
ist, pianist, accompanist, piano
teacher, vocal soloist and choir
member. She organized the Shel.
ton Music Club in 1941o Later she
became president or the Washing.
ton State Federation of Music
Clubs and was given a liiotime
membership in the state federa-
tion or music clubs.
Mrs. Palmer composed muslcfor
voice and piano, much ofwhich has
been performed locally. Last
August, “Gypsy Fantasy." with
music by Mrs. Palmer and libretto
orPauline Barrom, was performed
in Shelton under the auspices ot
the Shelton Arts Commission
Mrs. Palmer composed poetry
for many years. including some
published works, She did oil color.

was also active in the United
Methodist Church or Shelton,
Eastern Star, the Shelton Garden
Club and the Shelton Writers'
Group.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Donovan, in 1972.
