The following notice was in the April 4, 1930 Grove At High Tide newspaper: "C. J. Barnet is the owner and builder ofa new home which is going up at 712 Junipero street. There will be four rooms, bath and garage, and two chimneys, one of which will provide exhaust for tl>.e fireplace, which is large yet cozy, while the other will be for ventilation ofother heating appliances to be installed later. The traditional California style ofdesign is being followed in producing the novel rustic exterior. The inside will be plastered as insulation. Composition shingles will roofthe new home, while hardwood and pine will be used as flooring; hardwood for the principal rooms, pine for the minor.
