TO: Diane Broussard
26192 Paseo del Sur
Monterey, CA 93940
RE: Address: 166 Forest Subdivision: Retreat
Block: 43 Lot: 6
Our maps and tax records show that the above structure was first assessed in: 1904 This means the
structure was actually built early in that year, or late in the previous year.
The first owner of this structure, according to the County's assessor's records was: Robert Murrav
Other Comments: Unfortunately, we have no photo of this house. However, I believe that Pat Hathaway
of California Views on Pacific Street in Monterey does have at least one view of the two or three houses at
that corner. Based on the low assessment from 1899 through 1903, there was probably a small shed or
tent frame on the lot before the current house was constructed in 1904.
Plaque Status: ® Structure is eligible for a plague and one will be made up for you at no charge.
You will be notified when plague is ready. It could take 4 to 6 months.
El Structure is not eligible for a plague at this time because:
Enclosed Dlease find: 1926 Sanborn map.
Tax assessor's information through 1926.

First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free
exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the
