Melvm c. Swarm Melvin Charles Sivertsen, 77, a resident of Shelton for three years, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 1994, in St. Peter Hospital, Olympia. He was born Sept, 21, 1917, to Barney and Clara (Ranker) Si- vertsen in Seattle, He had been a longtime resident of the Seattle area. Mr. Sivertsen married his high school sweetheart, Mary Louise Weller, 56 years ago He worked for the Rainier Brew- ing Company for 18 years before his retirement. Mr. Sivertsen em'oyed gardening. He also enjoyed spending time with his family who remembers him as “a generous man, a gentle soul, and a caring father, grandfa- ther, and great-grandfather." Mr. Sivertsen is survived by his wife, Mary Sivertsen, Shelton; four sons, Riley Sivertsen, Seattle, Rod- ney Sivertsen, Des Moines, Arthur Sivertsen, Portland, Ore, and Steven Sivertsen, North Bend; a brother, George Sivertsen, Sequim; seven grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. A memorial service will begin at 2:30 pm. Sunday, Nov. 20, in Zenith Place, 1326 S. Z40th, Des Moines. The famil suggests memorials may be ma e to a charity of your choice.
