Dear Michael,
I don't know what happened to the original 302 Central house. It still shows on the 1926 Sanborn
map, which I have enclosed for you. Our records cover primarily the time from 1874 through
1926. I read most of the newspapers from 1929 through 1954 and didn't see any reference to the
house. The Community Development Department, at the corner of 16 and laurel, probably has a
file on the house covering events from 1928 to the present. You can visit them and ask to see the
file. It should at least tell you when the current structure was built.
If you ever do find out what happened to the original house, please let me know.
Thanks.
Sincerely,
05-

First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free
exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the

Newspapers produce and deliver news and information which they feel is important -- most often
from public information such as arrest reports, traffic infractions, accidents, indictments,
lawsuits, jury verdicts, property records, legal notices, and many other sources of information

provided by you or others, rebuttals, opinions, and other information such as court-ordered
legal notices, and historical and statistical data.
