The proposed addition engulfs and overwhelms the existing house. Using the
existing house as a reference, we would like see attention paid to:
Massing of forms: to add visual interest and to integrate the old and the new.
Windows: window styles should not vary from side to side. Sliders are
inappropriate. More imaginative window groupings would help relieve large
expanses of wall.
Balcony: balcony is out of scale and has a tacked-on appearance.
Porch railings: open railings would be more appropriate and would relate to
the balcony.
Roof pitch: roof as shown in drawings appears steeper than in photograph.

First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free
