Vernon R Farrell Vernon Patrick Farrell, 67, a life- time resident of Shelton, died Satur» day, Feb. 10,1996, in his home. Cause of death is not available. He was born Nov. 26, 1928, in Shelton to Charles J. and Laura E. (Wilcox) Farrell He gaduated from Irene S. Reed High School in 1947. Mr Farrell joined the Army after graduation from high school and served in Korea and Japan. He married Edna L. Guthrie on March 13,1955 Mr Farrell was employed by The Simpson Timber Co. for more than 30 years He enjoyed playing bingo, He was involved with the Jolly Jesters for 17 years. Mr. Farrell is survived by two sons, Brooks, Shelton, and Douglas J ., Ketchikan, Alaska; a daughter, 13]. LaVerne Putvin, Shelton; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews He was pre- ceded 1n death by his wife, Edna, in 1990; and his son, Christopher N S in 1983. A funeral service will be at 1 p m Friday, Feb 16, in First Baptist Church, Shelton The Rev William Kallappa will of» ficiate.
