Virginia Dorcy Leman
Fadden drifted peace- -
fully-into the Lord’s
presence on December
17, 2016 at the age of
95 inUniversity Place,
Washington. Her death
was due to complications
associated with age-
related dementia.
She lived nearly all of
her life in Shelton, Wash-
ington. Virginia was born
NoVember 11, 1921 to
James and Ruth Mason
Dorcy. She graduated
from Shelton High School
in 1940 and married her
high school sweetheart,
Marvin Leman. She and
Marvin had two children,
Linda and Dale for whom
she was a busy stay at

school, she worked for
several years at the lo-
cal department store in
Shelton. ‘ 7
Always competent,
while Marvin was on an
extended work assign-
ment in the Philippines
she made many of the
construction-related
decisions related to the
new home they were
building in the late
1950s. Shortly after their
35th wedding anniver-
sary Marvin s
uffered a
fatal heart attack. She
later married Joseph
Fadden and moved out-
side of Shelton to their
home on Hammersly In-
let. Summers found her
busy in her large garden
and winters found her
and Joe snowbirding
in California. After ‘
Joe’s death she moved 7
to Christmas Tree Vil-
lage in Shelton where _ .
she continued regular
meetings. with her 1940
graduation classmates, 7
Bible study groups, and»
activities with First Bap-
tist church. Sheenjoyed
crafting, cooking, books
on tape and Sewing .

throughout her life. In
2014, as her care needs-
progressed, she moved
to Tacoma to be closer to
family.
She is survived by
her two children: Linda
(Doug) Hay of Tacoma
and Dale (Ruth) Le-
man of Tucson, her four
grandchildren: Tanya
‘ Hay Lake, Kevin Hay,
Tabriz Leman Holtz,
. and Natasha Leman
Agbai, their spouses as
well as 8 great grand-
children, Andrea Lake,
Megan Lake, Rachel
Lake, Mackenzie Holtz,
Carson Holtz, Alastair
Hay, Truman Agbai, and
Banneker Agbai.
The family deeply
appreciates the care pro-
vided for Virginia by the
staff of Merrill Gardens
Garden House, Carolyn~
Frisell, and St Joseph’s
hospice. She is inurned
at Shelton Memorial
« Park. There isa private“
family memorial service
for Virginia planned for
this summer.
