Doris A. Raymond, a resident
of Shelton for 80 years, died of
natural causes Wednesday, Au-
gust 14, in Shelton. She was 87.
She was born April 4, 1915 in
Issaquah to Bi and Mary (Brown)
Simmons.
She married Louis Raymond
on November 9, 1935 in Port
Orchard
Mrs. Raymond was a home
maker, She enjoyed gardening,
canning, the outdoors, her family,
and traveling to Hawaii and Yel-
owstone National Park as well as

She was preceded in death by
2 er sister, Sarah l‘Essie” Young
V; Garrison in 1963 and brother Wil-
‘1: liam Simmons in 1966
& Survivors include her husband,
Louis Raymond of Shelton;
daughter Barbara Raymond of
Lacey; son William Raymond of
Shelton; nephew James Young of
Seaside, Oregon; and grand-niece
Bobbie Jean Lanahan of Ollala,
Oregon,
A memorial service was held
on Saturday, August 17, at the
Raymond family home in Shelton,
Burial was at Shelton Memorial
Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial do-
nations may be sent to the Ameri-
can Association of University
Women (Sue Schaufler, co-presi-
dent), 4813 22nd Avenue SE,
Lacey, 98503-70461
