Dear Mary,
The house at 155 15th Street was built in 1884 and is the
only house ever on that lot. The first owner was Mrs. E.
Beach.
It was owned by David Jacks for awhile and used as
one of his many rentals. Enclosed is the tax assessor inf
through 1926 listing the owners. Our records do not go la
than 1926.
We do not know how long or when it was used as a rental other
than for David Jacks. We do not know if any deaths actually
occurred in the house. We do not note changes to the
interior, so we do not know when the staircase was added.
This house was featured on one of our Victorian Home Tours in
the mid 1980s.
