She was 81 years old, Born in Tacoma June 14, 191 1 to Walter and Agusta (Nacthsheim) Eckert, she was the granddaugh- ter of the Eckert family who home- steaded on Stretch Island in 1890 and lived there for many years. Mrs. Eacrett graduated from Stadium High School in Tacoma in 1929 and from Bellingh am Normal School, now Western Washington University, in 1932. She worked as a bookkeeper at Eacrett Lumber for many years and was also a sub- stitute teacher in the Mason Coun- ty area. She was a member of the Sarah Eckert Orthopedic Guild, Fair Harbor Grange, Shelton United Methodist Church and the Repub- lican Women’s Association. She enjoyed gardening and sports. Mrs. Eacrett was preceded in death by her husband, Francis “Elie" Eacrett. Surviving her are two sons, Bob Eacrett of Grape- view and Ken Eacrett of Phoenix, Arizona; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held.
