Delphia F. Villines of Shelton
died of natural causes on Decem-
ber 22 at Saint Peter Hospital in
Olympia. She was 87.
She had lived in Shelton for 52
years. She was born in Shiloh,
Arkansas on October 18, 1909 to
John Thomas and Phoebe J.
(Carlton) Reynolds. She attended
schools in Shiloh and Parthenon,
Arkansas. She was married to
Hadley O. Villines on June 17,
1931. The couple celebrated their
Gist anniversary prior to his
death in 1992.
Mrs. Villines was a teacher
and a homemaker She enjoyed
both vegetable and flower garden,
ing. She especially enjoyed spend-
ing time with her children, grand»
children and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daugh—
ters, Gerry Shafer of Olympia,
‘Rita Hawthorne of Pittsburg,
Missouri, and Donna Rico of Me-
Cleary; her sons, Utah of King-
ston, Arkansas, and OD, Toby
and Tom, all of whom live in Shel»
ton; a nephew that she helped
raise, Harvie Villines of Yakima;
23 grandchildren, 35 great-grand-
children and numerous nieces
and nephews.
